review 1: The 1st chapter scared me a bit since I thought Gabriel was a cheater and I thought the whole book might follow this line of thinking and in a way it's there but the actions are justifiable when presented. In this installment readers actually find out what species Gabe is mixed with (if you haven't already figured it out) and we learn a little more about Gabe's background. While I was reading this book I lost track of time and ended up staying up to 5a.m. and then I had to force myself to go to sleep. It was so interesting that I couldn't put it down...so if you plan on reading it make sure to pay attention to the time.
review 2: This fantasy was action packed and tied together so many loose ends from the first book that is was easy to let the hours slip by as ... moreI read this story. I did like the first book better because I loved Gabe and Doc's storyline more and I preferred the more urban setting. Like the first book, this had great characters that you loved or hated and strong world building without overindulging. Great read! less
