review 1: This is part biography of Audrey Hepburn, history of women's sexual mores, tale of making a great film, and Hollywood "true story". A enchanting as Fifth Avenue at 5 A.M., Wasson's book takes the reader on a delightful ride. Knowing and loving the film, every line conjures images from the film. It also helps to be able to picture Truman Capote. Wasson covers every detail of the film from Hepburn talking a Parisian designer into creating her dresses to Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer creating Moon River. There is very little to criticize here and lots of fascinating stories to savor. If you enjoyed Breakfast at Tiffany's, this is a delightful read.
review 2: FITH AVENUE, 5 A.M.BY Sam WassonThis book was about the making of Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Audrey Hepb
... moreurn. I loved it, and mainly because I have never read the book nor saw the movie. Now, I want to read BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S by Truman Capote. This book begins by telling you that they really wanted Audrey Hepburn to do this movie, and what had to go thru to get her to accept their offer. I do want to read the book first, because the Movie was changed to so it would get release the censor’s approval. Now, I learn a whole about Audrey Hepburn, Blake Edwards and Truman Capote. But, the book is not in-depth about anything other than the making of the movie, so when I finished this book, I wanted more. Now, if you are a movie buff, you made not enjoy this book as much as I did, because you will learn nothing, and maybe you will find a few errors. You will even regard it as a Fluff Book. But, for me, I really liked the book, and plan on reading Breakfast At Tiffany’s and then watching the movie.- Michael E. Porter less

Loved the structure of this book. It was a little tedious at times--otherwise worth a 5!
