review 1: A story that unfolds in two time periods the 30th/40th that narrates the growing up of the mother and the 1997 than exposes the life and findings of her daughter that comes to sell her mother's house after she dies. The topic of a secret love and how it started and develops in a time no yet ready for that kind of love. How the daughter finds and her own secrets exposed. Brillingtly developed. Extraordinary description of the time period and their mentality.Kudos for Ms Moran .
review 2: Very well crafted story. The characters are very human & believable, so, not always likable. They are, however relatable. My only issue is-as a nitpicker-about questions of historical accuracy. This is more my issue than any fault of the author. I admit to being distracted by t... morehings most people never notice. :)Overall, I would highly recommend this book. It wins as a historical tale, as a love story and as the story of a woman coming to terms with the baggage of her childhood. less
