review 1: Loved how the author ended the series with newspaper accounts of what happened to Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Curiosity and many of the family! This was truly a wonderful series and beautifully written. I would highly recommend! I listened to the entire series and loved the narrator Sara Donati is coming out with a new book next year based on descendants of the Bonner family- can't wait!
review 2: Donati ends the series so well. It was like saying goodbye to old friends at the end. And Martha's story is so well told. There were a few loose ends I would have loved to have known about (like, what WAS the secret Martha had against Ethan? And did the acupuncture ever heal the pain in Daneil's arm? and what were Daniel and Liam talking about in secret on Nut Island ... more- I really expected that conversation to come to light in this book). But overall, she wraps things up very neatly. Another book in the series I could barely put down. Can't wait to see what Donati comes up with next. less
