review 1: Grace and her husband Adam go to live in a remote cottage he inherited in Yorkshire with their baby daughter. One day Grace drives to the store and when she gets back there is a note from her husband saying he went for a walk, but her daughter was left in her pram on the doorstep. He never comes back and the police think he just took off, especially when they are unable to find his passport or a large sum of money he withdrew recently from the bank. After one year Grace returns to the cottage hoping to find out what happened to him. This is a good suspenseful and atmospheric novel.

... moree where the husband is. After reading the front cover I thought this book would be more chilling, that there would be more twists and turns that I wouldn't see coming. Maybe even a real ghost. But that was not the case. I would call this a light mystery. less
