review 1: Loved this. Beautifully written. Not a romance, and that was an odd choice for me, but I picked it up in the shop and reading the first few lines, I wanted it. Not too much happens in this book, but because it is so beautifully written, you don't mind. My only negative point would be its ending, or lack there of. For me, some sort of wrapping up, in whatever direction, would have been preferable, but it just kind of stopped. If it had been a few pages longer to allow for this it would have been a 5 star, no problem. Recommended.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. Warm, pensive, thought provoking. The many lists of "ten things....." scattered throughout the book are wonderful, amusing, sad, loving. Everything from "ten things I know about my mother" to "t... moreen inappropriate thoughts during my father's funeral." It is about all the kinds of relationships in a family, all the kinds of love and ways of showing it. I highly recommend it. less
