review 1: I have not read much Sarah Dessen but really enjoyed this book and will now go back to read more. It has enough of a love story to be interesting while keeping it real and appropriate. What happens when no one see's us for who we are until everything is different? Sarah explores the themes of family/ tragedy/ responsibility and self with care and honesty. For those that are older than her previous books but not yet ready for New Adult books this is the perfect middle ground.
