review 1: I really liked the reincarnation theme, so I wanted to like this book a lot more than I actually did. The dialogue was kind of cheesy, and the events in the story were implausible. I can't imagine just saying "OK, that's nice" if my eighteen year old daughter told me she was dating a 26 year old man. We would have a talk about that, for sure! I also can't imagine being so out of tune with my daughter that I would miss the fact that she had an accident, a concussion, and was passing out every other day. Why didn't Mom take the girl to the doctor for an MRI, for heaven's sake? The trip to England to study might have been OK, except that it was planned and executed-including getting a passport-in less than a week. That's completely unrealistic. I did like the flashbacks of li... morefe in the 1800's, though. I think a little revision would make this book a winner.
review 2: The book had an intriguing plot,but I didn't "get" the ending. I don't want to give a spoiler and disappoint other readers, but if someone can enlighten me as to what actually happened in the last line, I would be delighted.The story-line was good and well-written overall. I did feel that the romance was a little hasty - if I were Ben I would be very concerned if a mad girl stalked me, and this lad shows no surprise. Perhaps he is used to be stalked by seemingly demented women.It was an okay read. less
