review 1: 4.5 starsI enjoyed this one though the setup was a little shakey...I find it hard to believe that Mara would use that much blood as part of the setup but it was a different time and she was young so who knows. It was romantic, had humor, and some small but nice moments with characters from other books. I think Mara is actually my second favorite heroine of the series (Pippa still is my fave); Mara is strong, smart, and can take care of herself. There is a whopper of a reveal at the end that, I admit, already knowing about beforehand. Nonetheless, I am geeked for the next book to release.
review 2: I've read too many romance books. I've liked some and hated others so much I didnt even bother to finish reading them. This book it just fantastic. All three books ... moreof this series (4th coming out later this year..cant wait!!) were so great, they're the only books I've re-read in my life.This is my favorite book of all the series. Temple and Mara have such an interesting relationship and this book teaches us how forgiveness can change everything. I dont really have many words to describe this book but I'd like to say that it was worth reading it more than once. It teaches you about love, redemption and forgiveness like no other book of this genre I've ever read.I recommend it with all my heart!! less
