review 1: An interesting story about a female soldier retiring from the service and entering civilian life. She gets involved with a handsome man while celebrating with friends and ,of course, there's problems. The woman needs to come to terms with how she was raised as well as learning to trust and love her man (not without a few bumps along the way). There's plenty going on in the story to keep your attention.
review 2: Eh. This was mostly fine, but it just wasn't anywhere near as good as the other books I've read by Sarah Mayberry. I was ready to give it 3.5 stars until the public proposal though. I realize that's my projecting my own preferences, but . . . public proposals are a no for me. I don't like to read about them, unless I'm given very, very strong reasoni... moreng to assume that the main characters would want them. And even then probably not. less
