review 1: I liked this book, but I had serious trouble getting into it with the way the beginning just dumps into the middle of a situation. I love McCarty's Promises series, but her habit of starting a book in the middle of a situation makes them feel a bit incomplete. That minor problem aside, I was not disappointed with 'Jace'. The story kept me reading beyond the rough start and just got better and better!
review 2: Not sure why I'm continuing to read this series. I just looked back and I haven't rated any of them higher than a 3. The story lines are long and drawn out. The passion is luke warm. The plots seem to be repeats over and over. So basically what I think I'm saying is that this is a good series to read when you are caught up on all the really good ones... more and need something new. But I would never choose this over a Lora Leigh, Jaci Burton, Stephanie Laurens, or Larissa Ione. These books are just too tame for my liking. But I notice everyone else has given them 4 and 5 stars so maybe its just me. less
