review 1: I did like this book as it was gritty with an interesting theme but I sometimes found myself putting it down and reaching for something different. I didn't really take to Tia as a character and her narrative was fairly repetitive in parts. My favourite character had to be Cobain as I preferred him to Tia in every way. I wouldn't not recommend this but did not get excited with it and feel compelled to share it immediately like I did with Web of Darkness or Slated. I think some of our YA readers would enjoy it and the theme of the book would be good for a discussion.
review 2: Having read and really enjoyed Sarah Mussi's previous book, 'Siege' I was keen to read her latest novel. I am fortunate to have been allowed access to a preview and I was not disappointe
... mored. The story get straight into the action as with the previous book and engages the reader immediately. You are drawn into Tia's and Cobain's world and the intrigues that surround Britain at this time. Conspiracy theories abound. I love the pace of the storytelling and tension that grows as Tia uncovers what is really going on. I will have no problem recommending this book to my students. less
