review 1: I was shaking with anger by the time I got to the end of this book. Dorian just really got under my skin with the whole acting like a victim when he cheated and tried making it the mermaid's fault -(can't remember her name at the moment)- just because she was a month later than she promised. It just infuriated me that she took that and then tried to kill herself over it. Dorian, go burn in the deepest depths of a volcano. I wish he had drowned in the first book now.
review 2: Excellently written. This sequel certainly lives up to it's predecessor. This is, as the first one was, by no means a difficult read. I would not recommend this to young children as there are thematic elements which I personally believe are too adult for children or even early teens. I
... more was not thrilled with the use of foul language, but as I had read the first book, it was no severe shock. The story promises to continue in the third book, which I am very excited to get my hands on! less
