review 1: This series just keeps getting better and better. Some of my questions from book 1 were answered...but now has raised some new questions. The magic in this book is so fun and reminds me of Charmed, which I always enjoyed watching. The cheerleading aspect of the story is still really great and works well. Brooke, Lark and Allison are all great characters. I can't wait to learn more about them and their pasts. I won't talk about Drake and his arrogant ego. All I can say is Harper better set his ass straight in the next book. Shadowford is an interesting home for Harper but I think I'd be creeped out living there. Harper is still a wonderful female lead. Embracing her powers and using them to help others, eventhough it exhausts her after each time. I admire her will and brave... morery...to face the unknown. I love how she sticks up for Jackson when no one else would. But deep down she always knew he wasn't what others thought him to be. I just love their relationship slowly blossoming. Gives me the giddies. Oh my though! The secret we learn about Jackson- I did not see that coming! I was even a little turned off...but only for a minute. I love him and can't wait to hear the story behind it and see where things go between him and Harper! *sigh*One thing I love about this series is that the chapter titles aren't the normal 1, 2, 3 etc...they're phrases used in that chapter somewhere. And a lot of them give clues as to what's going on in those pages of the chapter. Very clever!I just love this series and highly recommend PNR fans to pick it up and get sucked into Harper's complicated world! It's so fun!
review 2: I couldn't put it down. So much is revealed in this second installment. Harper is honing her magic. She realizes what a jerk Drake is and has a demon on her back, that gives her away. Harper learns about the Shadow Demons and Demon gates. There is so much information in Inner Demons it pulls the story together. The story is so well told it flows like your living it. Can't wait to read the third story! less
