review 1: I must admit I never liked reading, I've always thought that reading was boring and a waste of time but after reading The Long Weekend, my thoughts have changed towards reading. I'm so happy that I’ve read The Long Weekend because it was probably the best book I've read this year. It's an absolutely thrilling story that will have you on the edge of your seat. I reckon Sam was very brave for 11 years old boy; he tried his hardest to get himself and his mate out of the mansion. If I was in that situation, I would probably wimp and give up already. For them people who still think that reading is boring, I recommend this book for you to read. It’s a short story, I’m sure you’ll love it, just like I did.
review 2: i found this book by chance when i was looki
... moreng reviews for another one, and i decided to get it, my only regret that it was short, at the beginning i thought I made a mistake choosing it because of the narrating style, that it wont be what i expected, but when the REAL thing started i couldn't put it down till i was sure there was no more typing, you feel as the writer grew up with the protagonist through the pages the narrating feeling different no longer belonging to a child as it did in the start, simply a good story about a brave kid that was thrown with his friend in a horrific situation leaving them with memories no children should have. it is a very good one night read thriller. less
