review 1: Highly recommend this bookWOW! the story of inmates in prison and how they find love. the struggles in prison are not sugar coted by the writer, Dane was such great character strong, alpha homophobe, but what a turn around life did on him when Baily was put in his cell(sweet, brave Baily ). I was at the end of my nerves with the violence and rape depicted on this book but I read it in one day not being able to put it down. The the Shawshank redemption has nothing on this book. There were some typing errors. But over all I give this book 5 stars.Miss Blackwell is my new favor writers
review 2: I think this book could've been really good, given about 100 more pages. I liked the characters, mostly. What annoyed me was the rushedness, even though that's a given wi
... moreth this sort of length. But, this book would have easily been worth much more than 2 stars, but the whole rushed feel and the annoying back and forth in Dane's emotions got to be a bit too much for me around the fifth time he did the "I'm NOT GAY!!!" and then pretty much was swallowing Bailey's tongue in the next paragraph. I got the message already, thank you very much. Anyway, it's an easy read and well written too. If you're lookig for a prison romance, this is a good enough bet if you prepare yourself for the page count and some violence. less

I can't give a better review than the one below by SheReadsALot. This was Ms Blackwell's best.

An unusual physical setting but the story was phenomenal and incredibly poignant.

Wasn't what I expected, and didn't really flow that well, but was alright.
