review 1: La historia en si no atrapó mucho mi atención, aunque me encanto Dakota, un mujeron en toda la extensión de la palabra, aunque fue too much tanta muerte en su pasado... Jake ummm pues nada fuera del otro mundo, muy normal; las escenas "hot" umm digamos que no fueron nada especiales, no me transmitieron nada.Una lectura plana, la cual finalice debido a que la prota fue interesante y porque no me gusta dejar libros a medias.
review 2: Ok, only and only because I'm a huge fan of honesty. I am going to write this review. This book was between a 2 and 3 star for me. But a 2 star in my book makes me consider it a bad book. And I don't. This isn't a bad book. But-- That being said I just couldn't finish it. I got 70% through it last night and I was so frustrated wi... moreth the key points and the telling not showing that I couldn't move forward. I really like the idea of this story. Not a fan of her being a teen parent and almost a professor and she's just 21. Among other things- That just doesn't add up. Not that a book has to be realistic. It just has to have some believably. The Key characters in this story I do like. The passion they feel for one another is great! It's wonderfully composed. It's what you want a couple to feel toward one another. However, from the first chapter they feel that way and it never really changes. They key factor here for me is this... No author whether it's me or any other author-- They are not perfect. Our books are never perfect and we can't please everybody. Some people like what others don't. It's a fact of life. For me this didn't do it mainly because the story was the same throughout with mild angst parts. The sex scenes even if they were great... and well written. They were also the same. And the only time showing with words occurred was a various parts of the story. The rest was telling me what happened. Which is fine to do sometimes. But I want to be reeled in and fall IN LOVE with the story and this one didn't make me fall in love. I want to finish this out by saying. I really think this author did a great job coming up with a cool story. I think she added a lot of great elements and uniqueness. Like a badass main character. It just didn't hit what I need out of a book. less
