review 1: Okay, so I really loved the premise of a time traveler throwing an annual party for himself and his parallel selves from age 16-70, one for each year, year after year. Fantastical concept and has made me think a lot about maturity and wisdom as we age each year and the advice we would give our former selves. But this novel would have better served the reader as a short story. At the one-third mark I was satiated. I kept reading for the next evolution of the plot, but it never came.
review 2: I really liked to idea of this book. Like how a guy had a party with himself and a mysterious death. But the plot turned out being a little boring and drawn out. The conflicts with the character and his other selves felt too forced and didn't make a whole lot of sense (as w
... moreell as their motives of doing things). Nothing was really explained at all, so I just had to infer what was going on, and even when it was it was unclear because of all the contradictions. This could have been a cool, interesting story about a time traveler if there had been a little more diversity. (P.S. That chick wasn't all she was cracked up to be. Just saying) less
