review 1: OMG..where to start..DNF this book. And this may have a little bit of spoilers.Let me just say that I am a sucker for covers and this one is way too beautiful. The guy on the cover, Dusan Novakovic(yeap.. I know his name), is a looker and every single book cover with him is simply amazing. Thats what got me on this book. The cover. I read the sinopses and I kind didnt liked but I thought.. what the hell.. why not?Oh boy do I regreat it....I'm all about women being powerful and not taking any bullshit from man. For me, a woman has to like herself first, have self respect and all that. That doesnt mean she can step on the poor guy. That goes to both genders.. man or female.. doesnt matter. Everyone deserves respects and be respected. The women in this book.. so far as I read... more it... where all "mean" to their men. "She broke my heart" "ohhh she broke his heart" "OMG she is a bitch and broke my heart" and all that shit. All the women in this book, I repeat ALL THE WOMEN, where a bunch of superficial human beings. Half the time they where talking about how they life were perfect, how much money they had, how much drunk they got last night.. how they like to fuck blah blah blah. The other half was the author discribing how they were dressed for the day: Dolce and Gabanna, YSL, Victoria Secret. And dont let me start with their perfumes. The "heroine" could guess which perfume was by simply smelling it. Speaking of heroine... oh Jesus Christ.. what a boring, brat, teaser, confusing little girl this one is. She said herself that she lived to spend the money she never worked for and how a beaufiul naturally blonde she was. She is still a virgin at 23 and she wants to give it up to the hot rock star.. oh but she never got "intimate" with another guy. I mean.. if you let a guy go down on you and you suck him off.. doesnt it count as intimate? But whatever.. maybe the meaning of the word is different for me than what it is for the author. This one is by far one of the most terrible heroines for me.What I read last, before I got tired of those ridiculous women, was how mad the heroine was because the guys from the bands prefer to nail her best friends than to sing for her at her Bday party. That was the break point for me. I mean really?? Do I need to say anything else? Ugh....So few pages and I didnt even manage to finish... tsk tsk tsk
review 2: Falling Into Lust had me hooked at page one. I love this series. This is book one in a three book series. The way the author writes these characters is amazing. There is so much detail in the way she writes, I honestly had to Google a couple of things that I did not know about like Ulysse Nardin watches and smart phones. Who Owns a 6 figure cell phone? besides and heiress. =) The storyline of the book centers around the rock band Scarlet Fever. The band members are Kaz, Will, Grant and Jaden. The opening chapters center around the female lead characters Sydney, Laurel, Faith and Laurel's sister Sasha. Sydney's grandfather hires the band for Sydney's 23rd birthday aboard an extravagant yacht. And of course one thing leads to another and the story goes on from there. I love the imagination of Ms. Chardou it's limitless and extreme, It's a whirlwind of destinations and emotions. All these different personalities all together on a club tour. (It gets dicey)I could not put the book down I had to finish it and I had to keep reading more books. What is great is there is really no "cliff hanger" if you are familiar with my other reviews you know that the story continues with each couple getting their own chance to tell their story. I love the characters they are believable and real. With real issues and problems. Sure you have the hot rock star and the vapid heiress but that's what books are all about. I personally don't have friends like Kaz & Sydney but if I did I would definitely go along for the ride. Gods of Rock Tour Hell yes. What I am saying is this is a refreshing new series with lots of variations in people and lifestyles and it works because this is why books like this one are popular you get to step into someone else's shoes for a few hours. I love Elle I have literally "known" her for 24 hours yet I feel we were destined to meet. I love when I can relate to an author and her stories. I Highly Recommend the books you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading. less
