review 1: God, she pissed me off. She angered me so much, caused me to go off on so many rants, but she was also pretty funny and she did care about the people she loved. Sure, she handled things poorly, but she is only 16(which really made me think about why she's driving a car alone? -_- She'd need an adult with her still, right? But whatever, I guess it's different in a lot of places) and she went through a rough time with her mother leaving. Sure, her brother and dad did as well, but she dealt with it in other ways, closing herself off, which in the long run, hurt her more. I want to say her mother's leaving affected her more then the rest of her family, but in truth, it's just the way she handled it that screwed her over. It was hard on them all, and as much of a bitch she was,... more she wasn't really a mean person. She just needed a little help. Someone like Zac, and a few shitty situations and freak outs to set her straight. I did feel bad watching everything slowly get worse for her with her family, and friends, but shit, was I glad when they bitched her out. She's 16! She can't control everything and everyone. If her friend wants to date a guy, let her date that fricken guy. Just because you have something against him does NOT give you the right to not allow her to go out with him. You can warn her, this and that, but back the hell up and let your friend be happy. It's not you dating him, it's her. And I mean, I get that she was just trying to protect Molly and all, but she got way ahead of herself. She should have just stepped back and if he really did end up hurting her, comfort your friend then, bitch out at him THEN, let her find out what a douche or great guy he is on her own. Avery had good intentions, but she was doing anything she could to try and prove that Elliot was the lying cheat she thought he was, and omfg, I wanted to take her face and smash it into the pavement. But I liked the book of whole lot. It made me laugh out loud (Zac was brilliant), it made me cry, and it made me see that, yes, in fact, I was right. Love can change a lot.The ending was beautiful, although kind of...abrupt. I didn't think the last page, was the last page. I thought we'd see how their life sort of ended up, but, still, it was very cute. I suppose it gave you an idea of what would happen. I'm glad she got part of the old her back, the her she had before her mother left, and realized that acting carefree is OK sometimes. Especially when you're her age. I loved Trisha, and what Avery said to her seriously pissed me off, I mean, she really showed her true fricken colors, but I knew in the end she'd make it right. She's not suppose to be the one taking care of everyone, she's suppose to be taken care OF. It's not wrong to care or help out, but damn girl...I'm really glad Zac came in and showed her the light(: I'm glad she made amends with Elliot, because I really liked the guy, and although her and Hannah's friendship wasn't exactly saved, you know there's a silent agreement between the two: They both forgive, even if their friendship will never be repaired. It's bitter sweet in my opinion, but not everything can be saved. I'm happy they could move on, and remember that even though they're strangers now, they were once neighbor's, childhood best friends, who shared some of their best memories together.
