review 1: I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. High Risk Love is a departure from Shannon Mayer's usual paranormal genre but boy did she nail it!The story sucked you in straight away & you really connected with all of the characters, not just the main ones. Almost every character is damaged from their past & it is the way these inherent flaws cause them to react to each other that moves the story along. I would love to see some more books of the other characters back stories too. (Even Elise!)There were a few editing mistakes that got annoying, especially in the big get together scene.
review 2: I absolutely loved this book! Right from the first page it had me gripped. How could it not?? A smoking hot stunt man with issues and a bad boy!! A quiet gi... morerl who's lost all her family and grieving.Jasmine is sent to interview Jet and their story begins there. OH MY! There is tears, laughter and everything you want in an emotional read that pulls you in. Throw in a couple more smokin hot men, Hugh and Jasper and you have a recipe for book heaven !! Neither Jet nor Jasmine want or are looking for a relationship but both find more than they ever expected and both fight it!Jasmine lived in fear, fear of loving, fear of losing those she loved, fear of living, Jet taught her to live and to fear less. Jet feared nothing except love, the one thing in life he'd never had.Its a heart wrenching story, that will have you in tears, and also laughter.Well worth reading if your a romance junkie and love a bit of angst!!! less
