review 1: ** This series is for mature young adults and adults only as it contains loads of graphic violence and some sexSunderedI found this book both heartwarming and exciting :) This is not your everyday apocalypse/post apocalyptic series... the core of this story is truly a love story but there is plenty of action and adventure to go around. I especially like the heroine and her steadfast refusal to ever give up. In this day and age there are very few true women heroes in any genre. The truly new take on zombies/mutants was very refreshing and inventive. I would recommend this series to mature young adults and adults only as there is sex and loads of violence but it is very entertaining and a fast paced read. I can not wait to read the next book!!!BoundThis book CANNOT be read b... moreefore Sundered: The Nevermore Trilogy Book 1 (A Romantic Suspense) or you will be truly lost and lose alot of the beauty of this series... that said this is one of the best sequels I have read in a long time :)This book picks up pretty much right where the last on leaves off. It introduces new characters and explains alot about how this post-apocalyptic world came to be as it is. There are facets to the survivors world I find truly terrifying and disturbing. I can totally see this happening in our world and that is what is most frightening. Even though I truly enjoyed this book I would not recommend it for anyone feint of heart :) I can not wait to read the conclusion of the series as it is sure to be epic! I only wish the series was longer because I have enjoyed it so much and do not want to leave behind this world :(Scattered (bonus short story)This short story made me really invested in the brother and sister. It was really more of a "snack" than a short story but I enjoyed it :) There wasn't much violence or any sex so it would be appropriate for any young adult audience but I think they would be really confused if they did not know the backstory of the series. I wish it was longer!!!!! I hope these characters are reintroduced in the third book :)DauntlessI really liked this conclusion to the trilogy but I wish it had been longer :( An actual epilogue would have been nice also but as there is none it leaves the series open for another sequel series if the author decides to write one :) I have to say that any young adult could read this book because it is a lot tamer than the others. I am sad to see the end of this series but it was well worth reading :)
review 2: Hmmmm...well, this book/trilogy was interesting enough to keep my attention for the first 75% but then got so cheesy I just skimmed to through to the end. First of all, while I liked Mara, I didn't like her husband Sebastian. Theirs was supposed to be some wonderful romance and overcame all...even him becoming a "nevermore" or zombie-like creature. I never got behind their relationship in the first place. There wasn't enough of a base there, and the little we did get of it before all hell broke loose wasn't very detailed and Sebastian even came across as a jerk sometimes. For this reason alone, I just couldn't completely immerse in the story because I just didn't care if they were able to be together or not. I also felt like the story could have used more detail and more meat. Instead it went so fast and had so many clichés that, again, I couldn't totally get into it. Finally, there's no real resolution to the story. After all that, it would have been nice to have a "happily ever after." Anyways, three stars is a bit generous and I don't think I'd really recommend this to my friends. less

Love conquers drug-induced zomby-ism (if that isn't a word, then it should be!).
