Didn't love it - couldn't really connect with the main characters, but that generally happens a lot in very short novels, as there just isn't the time or space to really flesh out their personalities. Also, I had a bit of a problem with the complete lack of secondary characters. Quirky friends of the hero or heroine are always high... more points in books for me, but neither of the main characters here had any to speak of. On the other hand, I wasn't exactly expecting anything particularly deep when I picked this up, I knew it was going to be a quick, fun, romantic read, and in that sense I wasn't disappointed.
review 2: This was great novella by Shannon Stacey which tells the story of Anna and Cameron who spend the summer at a secluded lake in their respective summer homes. Cameron to escape a past he doesn't want to repeat. Anna to find a hope and learn to manage life. Little did they anticipate falling in love. Now the question is whether they will spend forever together. This book had everything you'd expect from a little novella, romance, comedy, humor. I really enjoy reading Shannon Stacey's books. less
