review 1: I revelled at this beautiful short love story. It had me giggle and tear up, laugh and cry, and get pretty damn aroused. The premise caught me immediately, and the writer delivered. This has been the fastest read I have ever done.Gianna is abducted from her island, and after a terrible storm in the Bermuda Triangle, gets stranded on an island. Naked, perched and starving, she wakes up in a shed and quickly gets acquainted with its owner... who grew up in the island alone, speaks no word, and has never seen a woman in his life. Complete innocence trapped in a body made for sin. But what will happen when her old life comes hunting for her? How far will Gianna go to protect her new paradise?I didn't want to put this down. I drank it up, every delicious drop. Sure it has some ... moreediting issues, and the stupidity of the heroine in the first chapter or two is preposterous... but not only is she absolved by the plot later, it makes it almost worth it. This short book is filled with one beautiful scene after the other. The moment when she spoke his name for the first time had me in tears. The first time they made love had me grinning like a goof. The way he chased her around after she opened "Pandora's box" of hot sex had me giggling.I so wish this book was longer. I really would have savoured it more, and the one-sided dialogue would not have tired me. That was another surprise. Ms. Copell succeeded in a wonderful degree to convey everything she wanted through only one person using words - and Micah's "Luff Gee" was the most perfect sound I could have imagined :)
review 2: I had read that this was a "different" book, but I had no idea. This book to me was more of a fantasy than romance. Not that they are not synonymous, but this was obviously not meant to be realistic at all. So it's pretty straight forward as the synopsis states. She was turning 21 in a few days and inherit her parent's island resort. Her uncle, who has control of everything until she turns 21, hates her (and vice versa) and he ends up drugging her and putting her on a ship to be sold into slavery. Her captor has another idea to keep her for himself when, in the Bermuda Triangle, the ship gets "taken control over" by, the synopsis states a storm, but she eludes to a creature of sorts as she cannot see what's going on as she's getting toppled around like a rag doll. Somehow she survives and ends up on an island. Next morning she wakes up in a man-made shack of sorts and runs into Micah. The scene where she met Micah for the first time was a bit much, and the fact that he knew his name, but couldn't speak was a bit odd, but again, this is fantasy story.Anyway, her captor somehow manages to find her, and of course the romantic part is that Micah saves her. Then she must decide whether to stay with him or go back home. All in all, since it was a quick read, I did find enjoyment out of it. less
