review 1: I found this to be too simplistic - both in language and execution. The story had an interesting premise but there was no complexity to it at all. Simplistic applied throughout the story, from the basics of sentence structure to paragraph structure. The kids were cute but Brodie was odd -- one minute hiding his "privates" and the next having sex with Channing without any qualms. Channing was crude, and I'm not sure the author even intended him to be that way. And the typos -- normally I wouldn't comment on those in a review but at no time was the word 'of' used in any phrase in which it should have been. Was that a quirk of the author or of the editor? Since it amounted to at least one hundred times, it finally didn't matter any more since it kept pulling me out of t... morehe story. Other typos and misused words really needed to be cleaned up as well. I'm very disappointed in this one.
review 2: I really wanted to like the story, because I liked the plurb. But some characters and parts of story really turned me off. I liked Channing and the kids and his family. But I really didn't get, like or understand Brodie. He is so naive, too good to be true and so "perfect". He is so unreal that I really couldn't like him.And I didn't like the romance and sex scenes in the story. There are too much and too unreal as well.Not my kind of story. less
