review 1: This was exactly what I was expecting, the crzay, hilarious shenanigans of Shawn Spencer. It was hilarious and exactly how Shawn would have written this book. I loved it!Now, I know some people have complained that they thought that the book would actually provide you with some real and helpful information on crime fighting, but I mean come on if you are really one of those people you must not watch the show. The book isn't written by one of the writer's of the show or a real cop, it was written by Shawn Spencer. Since when has he been helpful or serious? It's literally what's going on inside his head, and I think that was just great. I know have a better insight into Shawn's head.I loved every aspect of the book. And found it seriously amazing that they put in segments fr... moreom people who were important in the show. It was nice to hear from Despereaux and Mary and even Yang and lots of others. My only problem with the book was Juliet. At most parts, especially in the footnotes, she was out of character. She was really whiny and annoying. Nothing like the badass, awesome Jules we got to know in the show.Other than that the book was pefect. Can't strech it enough how much I enjoyed this book. Every Psych-o should read this book! Don1t even think about it guys! Go and buy it right now!
review 2: It truly pains me to give this book such a low star rating. I ADORE Psych as a TV show. I love all the characters, especially Shawn and Gus. I thought this book would be a laugh-out-loud riot all the way through.Unfortunately, it was loaded with profanity and not hardly funny at all. On paper, whomever wrote this book was clearly trying for the hilarious dialogue of the show but it really fell flat. I only smiled or laughed a few times, usually at outraged footnotes from Juliet or Gus. I'm glad I got it from the library because I will not be buying it, sadly. less
