review 1: A very useful and practical guide to getting started in Twitter. The author does a good job of predicting the insane growth and impact of Twitter, as this book was originally written in 2008/2009 and still feels relevant today. Sometimes it drags on with tedious examples of Twitter usage, but his best stories are about people connecting with people, especially his encouraging chapter about grassroots fundraising using Twitter. Overall still worth the read if you're interested in Twitter.
review 2: So many social media books are light on examples but full of opinions. Shel Israel has written an incredible book that documents the birth and growth of Twitter in the business community. Shel walks through examples for profitable businesses, non-profit and charitab
... morele businesses and even touches on government use of Twitter. As well, he includes remarkable stories of humanity and how Twitter is changing the world we live in.This book is a must read for any social media or marketing professional. less
