review 1: Although I had issues with the first book in this series, I continued on to the second and am really glad I did! I still had to skim a few paragraphs that were overly descriptive and drawn out or repetitious thoughts but not nearly as many as in book one. The chemistry between Jamie and Will kept me reading and the development of Scout's story was well placed and added to the plot. I am anxious to continue on to book three to see how Scout's future plays out.
review 2: It has taken me almost a year before reading this second story to Clayton's story in A Texan's Promise. I thought this one was good as well but it did leave a few questions for me: such as why Will didn't confront Scout about the potential family connection and where in Texas is Will going - is h... moree going to try to reclaim his family's place or start anew. Look forward to the third book to see what else might be revealed. less
