review 1: Really more of a 2.5, but rounded up as it could have had potential.I really wanted to like this book but it just seemed to fall a bit short. While Dove is a broken character, she does slowly start to become her own person instead of who Victor wants her to be. It is odd that Victor would do something so amazing as to fly them to Paris to go to museums and then do a 180 and go back to being a controlling ass. I was honestly expecting this to be a bit steamier but it seemed like baby steps bondage.**Reviewed ARC copy provided by The Cheap Ebook**
review 2: On to book two! I have a love/hate relationship with books like this one. I LOVED the story line, and the characters were great. Being the history geek that I am, I absolutely loved the art history that was in
... moretertwined within the book. However, I was able to finish the book in about two hours, and instantly wanted more. I did appreciate how Ms. Gray took her weakest character and gradually made her stronger. Most of the books I've read of the nature have very weak-minded characters who never change. This book was a fresh air. less
