review 1: What did I just read? This book was really cool, really strange and really… I have no idea. I liked it, and I would love it if the author Shonna Wright was more active on goodreads and I wish she had more books. She had a way of writing things that made you see, feel, smell, know what was around you when you're reading. She drew a picture she didn't just tell you what was happening. I appreciate that because it's one of my biggest pet peeves in books, Indy or traditionally published. Good book! I say go buy it!
review 2: I'm a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy but this one was just weird to me. Chick can create synthetic people, that part I liked, but the whole "mom is an aging porn star with a monster fetish that wants to resurrect her career and have immorta... morelity" just kind of ruined the whole story for me. The story came to an abrupt end that made me think there will be more but I won't be reading. So glad I got this as a freebie download. less
