review 1: Loved a lot of Shukyou's writing but this (I think it's an early one) doesn't stand out for me. It reads like snapshots of a cliche teen-movie. Spin the bottle dares...- The main character is having sex with his ex-girlfriend while courting her step-brother. - The ex-girlfriend is setting him up with her step-brother, having sex with him, being understanding about him being gay and forcing him to pretend they're still together.- The step-brother, fancies him, hates him, who knows.The voice and vibe of the book has real energy which I liked a lot, and it's an easy light read, but the plot doesn't quite work for me.
review 2: I don't get the love for this one. Don't hate me, but I'm clearly missing the pun somewhere.This read like bad fanfick of 80s power rom... moreances, which I adore, btw.Two teen bi boys fuck, even as one is still getting boners from his ex-girlfriend's panties and fucking her on the side. Where was the plot? The relationship or character development? AND THE CAPITAL LETTERS IN THE LAST SECTION MADE ME POSTAL. YES, THERE WAS YELLING. I GOT IT WITHOUT THAT FUCKERY. less
