review 1: I thought that this book started really well and was keeping me gripped to a point beyond midway, but it then became, not predictable, but I could kind of hazard a guess as to where it was going. There were some elements of the story line that were not adequately explained for me. Other bits were just brushed over - for instance the search for Shepherd's old girlfriend petered out somewhat. From the outset, I was going to say that it didn't matter that I hadn't read the other two parts of this trilogy, but, perhaps it did. Though I think that even if I had read all three parts I would have ended up disappointed with the way things turned out. It seemed that the solutions were revealed rather too quickly without full explanation and with a rather sickly sweet ending. The au... morethor seems to have had more than a nod towards Dan Brown.
review 2: I've waited so long for this book that I would have read it ever if it would have been the worst book ever. Fortunately, it wasn't :)). I loved the way the story unfolded in this last book. I loved the new characters and the general concept of better people, looking within and searching for home. The ending was a bit strage and unexpected, but I guess any good conspiracy thriller has to have one just like The Tower did. And after reading all 3 books, this trilogy definetly earned a special place in my heart. less

A great ending to a great trilogy. As intriguing and fast paced as the other two.
