review 1: I just love this series. Along with the world war, there is corruption in the government, however Tom says firm in his beliefs. He has a lot to face in this installment. With the seriousness aside, this book has extreme humor that comes along with all teenagers. They may be training to fight a war, but they ARe STILL TEENAGERS. It's hilarious and brilliant at the same time. LOVE THIS SERIES YOU NEED TO READ IT! review 2: Insigna was really good, and Vortex is even better. There are few book series where I like the second book as much or more than the first. This series by S.J.Kincaid might be the first. Its success is in how well the author has planned this series out. Nothing seems to be written by accident. Every chapter, every scene and every word seems to... more be chosen for a reason. The intricacy of the plots as they are revealed while being braided together is just beautifully, and masterfully done. I look forward to read the next book in this series. less
