review 1: Obviously the title is silly and embarrassing, but this book was so fun! I devoured it in about a day. It's similar-ish to Beauty Queens in that people crash onto an island and it's about celebrity culture, but this one wasn't trying to Say Something About Society. It name drops a ton of current famous people, which I always find awkward because it'll be out of date in about five seconds. And clearly the celebs in this book (or at least their back stories) are based on real ones, so I kept trying to figure those out in the back of my mind while reading. Anyway - this is perfect summer/beach read - fun and fluffy and it'll keep you turning pages.
review 2: This book was beyond terrible. I love love love Tanen's other books that pose fake chickens in compromis... moreing positions. They are hilarious, go find them. This however was not a fave. It's about some girl who gets stuck on an island with fake celebrities. They complain, they are awful and mean, and there is so much of that you just want to throw the book across the room. A lot more could have been done to make this book funnier and more interesting. less
