review 1: I read Six Geese-A-Laying which is a very short story going for free in the Kindle store. When I say very short, the story itself is less than 50% of the book that is downloaded, the rest is an advert. That aside, the story is good. In contrast to the other Christmas short I read this year each character felt real and distinct. I connected with the main character and really felt like I got a glimpse into her life.Without spoiling the story I enjoyed it, it was fun and amusing, and I liked the moral of it (got to have a moral in a Christmas story!).I haven't read Sophie Kinsella before but this had definitely put me in the mood for reading some more!

... morewas in fact terrified by the author's first book, I'm not quite sure why I read this. But I did and it was OK I guess. Giving the women all G names was a bit obvious and I think the Christmassy theme's a little incidental really. It's OK but doesn't mean I'm suddenly rushing out to fill my shelves with chick-lit. Who even came up with that term? Why isn't there dude-lit? If there isn't dude-lit why have chick-lit. Aggghhh I hate women. I hate men. I'm sticking to animal books. less

Interesting read, a bit spooky, but still true to Kinsella's signature.
