review 1: I'm a huge Kinsella fan, particularly her stand-alone novels. However, while this one was fun, it never managed to suck me in like some of her other novels have in the past. I think the problem here was the characters. Though they were certainly colorful and interesting, I just couldn't relate to them enough to really care about them. I give this book a solid 4.5 stars, only because I know Kinsella can do better.
review 2: Another madcap entry from Kinsella. As usual, she tries to write her heroine as zany and adorable, but I found she crossed the line into delusional fairly often. The central event that was supposed to have been a turning point in Lottie's life did not seem to have made her more mature. The supporting characters were entertaining and the pl... moreot took some interesting twists. The book could have been a bit shorter. less
