review 1: I think it's obvious how I feel by the number of stars I have given to this work. This is not a book that can be read in one day. It took me couple of days to finish reading this, and not because it was boring but was so intense that I had to slow down and savor every sentence written in here. One of the most compeling things about this read is that it is real, based on the real story and it shows a development of a real relationship. Admitedly unusual one, but real none the less. We can all, in one way or another, relate to it. It is beautifully written, has a great story, interesting people, BDSM element that adds spice to it, funny and interesting dialogues full of bantering a wittiness and, to top it all, a HEA. Also it gives a great insight into the BDSM world, with a... more realistic approach to it without romanticising it.I don't think I can say I recommend it to anyone though, because this read was intense and not for the faint of heart. If you are into BDSM, into reading about it or purely curious, this is a great series to read. Realistic and informative, with a great love story. Overall an interesting, educative, yet still heartwrenching read that I enjoyed very much. 5 stars without a doubt.
review 2: I definitely preferred this book (second in the series) to the first. Emotionally fulfilling but Sophie still has challenges which keep you interested. I love Adam. He has a heart and is confident enough with himself not to require reassurances with being called "Sir or Master". Definitely some hot and steamy moments which provide you with the taste of the BDSM lifestyle without it being a full 24/7. The story ends well and doesn't leave you hanging. less
