review 1: This was a short, fun and enjoyable read for me. It was actually the first book I have read by this author, and I plan now to go back and read the other books in the series. I really enjoyed this as a cozy it was fast, fun and I finished it really fast. If you are new to the cozy mystery genre I think this would be a good place for you to start. If you are not new you are going to enjoy it anyways. I think I smiled the whole way through this one if that gives you any idea of the fun I had while reading it.
review 2: I love this series. The titles alone make me chuckle and the concept of alternately concentrating on each of the cousins is unique. I also love the underlying plot of the broach going back and forth between Caro and Melinda.This installment focuse... mores on Melinda. Melinda comes to work one morning to find Dr. O'Doggle dead in front of her store. Not thrilled to find another dead body, Melinda can't seem to help herself but start sniffing around for clues as to who might have murdered the good doctor. Melinda is aided in her clue sniffing by the hiring of Betty who has a interesting taste in attire and use of lipstick to accent her eyebrows.I am so looking forward to the next installment of this series. less
