review 1: This book wasn't well-written and was also incredibly saccharin to boot. And yet...and yet...After a couple of chapters, the tears began to fall. And they fell more and more as the book wore on. I couldn't put the silly thing down because I couldn't wait to see what each new day brought to the Jensen family.So, from this book I learned (besides it's more obvious lessons) that a strong message of truth and a good story can triumph over bad writing, flat characters, and sticky sweetness.
review 2: Ok so I bought this book a few months ago in hopes that Matt and I could read it together during the Christmas season. Well those hopes were shattered after reading the first chapter because Matt kept making so much fun of it. I kicked him out of the book club, finis... morehed reading the book alone and it had some great lessons. To be honest, it was a feel good book but pretty cheesy. The writing seemed a little over the top and immature. If you can look past all that there is a great lesson to be learned about the Plan of Happiness, trusting in God and forgiveness. less
