review 1: I'd say it was more 4.5 stars but I rounded up. I really enjoyed the book even though I thought at first it would be boring (its not by any means). Grace is your typical overachiever type A work alcoholic. She spends most of her life working for a man she idolizes and pining away for a man who thinks of her as a friend with the occasional benefits. When Grace was away at college she met Ethan and the chemistry was explosive between them but something happened and now she thinks of him as a mistake. Ethan cute, funny commentator on cable political shows does not know why his college sweetheart up and left one day with no warning. Their lives collide in as political oppositions in a Senate race. The chemistry is still there but there is animosity on both sides that drive a w... moreedge between then. I loved the battles between them and the ending was great.
review 2: In a fun departure from her usual flavor of romance, Stephanie Draven spins out a sassy and seductive yarn about the campaign trail and the mistake from your past that may not have been such a big mistake after all. The story blends an unlikely framework (political campaigns?!) with heart-tugging romance and steamy seduction scenes, and kept me awake past my bedtime because I didn't want to put it down. less
