review 1: The Yarn Harlot is funny as always. Its nice to she her branching out beyond the world of knitting. I really loved this book. It was both funny and human. I particularly like the essay "Snapped." She make a case for why its important for women (especially moms) to be in family photos. I think every women should read this one essay, if nothing else. It solidified my vow be photographed, and often, so that may daughter had a record of me and our time together and to show her that we are beautiful no matter what our hair looks like.

... morempliment by a stranger at work. It's so great to read a whole book of stories about these and other funny situations the author has found herself in as well. The essays written by McPhee in this book resonated with me and had me laughing out loud. What a treat the past few nights have been while connecting to this lovely woman who likes to read, knit, and observe the strangeness of life around her. Great read! less
