review 1: I don't know what I can say about this book. It was boring and confusing. I don't enjoy reading book where the characters names aren’t introduced until the book is near completion or books that don't name characters. This book had a little bit of both most of the book the main male character was described as “The Floating Boy” “Him” or “ Him Him”. That was irritating. The main character is supposed to be like 15 so I was fine with that until I started reading. The author was almost trying to hard to be sarcastic and funny which just made the main character annoying. I absolutely hated adding the anxiety part of the plot. I thought that the author didn't act like it was a real issue and that it was mostly a joke or something “so people could relate”. It ba... moresically completely discounted anxiety as a whole and it has been written better so many times. I really wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. I would give this book 1 out of 5 stars. This book really just wasn't for me.
review 2: So this was an interesting read. I enjoyed the story and the plot was different. I liked Mary's voice a lot-- most of the time, she was a likable, sassy and sarcastic character. There were some times when the book felt really young. Floating Boy was immature and young boyish (which isn't a problem, it's just not what I enjoy reading). That being said, as much as I found it entertaining, it wasn't completely my cup of tea. But it's still a light (no pun intended) and quick read, if that's what you're looking for. less
