review 1: It's been a few years since I read The Twilight Saga. I loved the books, loved the film and the graphic novel. I brought this years ago but put it on my list of books and when it finally came up to read a few months ago, I was really excited. There was just one small problem, I couldn't find the bloody book! I don't have a bookshelf, all my books are under the bed. There are about 500 of them waiting there to be read. I pulled them all out twice and had given up hope. Then yesterday when looking for another book, I saw this one, just sitting there. In a place I must have looked! I got stuck in straight away and I've already finished, less than 24 hours later. This is a great book for fans. It really fleshes out the saga. I loved all the background history of the characters... more and even some of the lesser characters have interesting back stoires. Good interviews with Meyer and common questions asked by the fans. The music she used when writing the books. I'd be temped to make a mixed cd of all the songs, if it didn't include so much Muse and Coldplay(not a fan!). I wish I had read this immediately after finishing the books. Info on the cars used and why they were picked for each characters. The only bit of the book I didn't read was the main plot points, which seemed pointless as you would only pick up this book if you had read the rest of them.Calling it the illustrated guide seems silly, as there are not alot of illustrations in the book. The ones that are though are beautiful but I would have liked more especially for the characters. Overall a wonderful book for fans who are not quite ready to let go of Twilight.
review 2: This book really brought me back to the Twilight world! I keep on rereading it to review facts about the series. This was one of my favorite series that I read last year and I kept rereading it! This book helped end my obsession with this book and it gave me an ending that wasn't so sad as Breaking Dawn. I recommend this book to any twilight fan that wants to read more about the character's lifes. less
