review 1: I really want to read this because I have been too busy to finish book club books on time recently, or when I did finish the book got stuck at work the night book club met. But having finished the introduction, it was very hard to go further. One page deeper in, I just don't think I can force myself to click "buy" and read beyond the free sample. Fortunately for me, and unfortunatley for anyone who actually shelled out hard cash, I'm pretty sure I get the gist already. All men think one way (they don't) and all women think another (they don't either) and if relationships are to florish then it is up to women to find nearly-right men, complete their grooming by holding their feet to the fire until the straighten up and become the men we deserve (it isn't because we can't, a... moret least not forever). Then once we get them there, if the relationships are to last and be sucessful, it is up to the women to act as relationship custodians.Yes, women (and men): take some time to understand for yourself what your standards are, and what you want in your relationships. Yes, women (and men) be clear with your partner about what you expect, what you want, and what you can compromise on. Beyond that, don't for a second believe any sentence that starts "men want", "men think", or "men don't."
review 2: Very interesting read...quick to read...straight to the point... and useful of how men feel or act... "Let your man get to what needs to be done in his own time" since woman can't expect men to be on top in some cases when women are doing well (breadwinner)...and men do accept women making more money than them but I still think there has to be insecurity issues stirring inside of them even if they don't voice it or show it. We have to give them time to get where they need to be. We do have to choose our battles, what is worth discussing without arguing. Men were made to be providers, we were made to love. less
