review 1: I received this book as part of the Goodread's First Reads Giveaways Program. I really enjoyed this book. I was aware of some of Steve Harvey's accomplishments, but did not really know much of his personal story and the adversity had had to overcome to achieve all the successes we now know him for. I found this book easy to read, and very personal. I felt as if there were times Steve was in the room with me, and that he and I were having a conversation about success and how to remove the barriers that often prohibit individuals from being all that they could be. the book highlights actions Steve took to become a success, and allows opportunities for journaling and writing down thoughts and steps to help one move forward. This was a very good book. I strongly recomme... morend it.
review 2: I loved the first few chapters because Steve was bringing a fresh perspective. Then there were a couple of chapters that seemed like he was regurgitating something he read, but it picked back up when he started talking about your gift. Those chapters where he differentiates passion, gift, vehicle are brilliant. I had never heard it quite like that before and was able to identify what my gift truly is. less
