review 1: Brenda from Lander Memorial says, "Steve Martini’s The Rule of Nine is the 11th book in a series about Paul Madriani, a lawyer, who always seems to get mixed up in solving crimes connected to his cases. Martini keeps the readers guessing all the way through the book — sometimes to the point of wanting to take a peek at the last few pages — to a sometimes very surprising ending. Martini usually slips some interesting trivia about some aspect of the law into his books. He is a lawyer as well as an author. This book ended without tying up some loose ends, so … I’ll have to read the next book. Fun!"
review 2: I do love a good political Thriller and Steve Martini delivers. The author is new to me.This book was published in 2011. No sooner did I finish, the
... moren I rushed out to get his 2012 book, even though I was upset that he left this one with a cliff-hanger. True confession; I judged the book by the cover (oops.) My thought was I'd get some new insights into the Supreme Court. Not. Instead the title gives too broad a hint as to the target. I shouldn't quibble as it's a good, escapist, page turner. less
