review 1: 3.5 stars. Very cute short story about an extremely horny dentist struggling to pay off the creditors who lent him money for his dental practice. He meets Pierce, a vampire loaded with cavities. Conveniently, Pierce can sustain himself on bodily fluids during the period of time it takes for his teeth to heal. This is filled to the brim with terribly bad, yet funny, puns while these two find ways to help each other out. Nice, quick, lighthearted read.
review 2: 3.5 stars. As with any Storm Grant novel I expect humor and quirky characters that are not your average romance novel guys and with Sucks & Blows, she delivers that with Cary and Pierce. Cary is a dentist with an overactive libido and with his business going bust, he’s in debt to a creditor that br... moreeaks legs instead of foreclosing on you.Enter, Pierce Sharpe, who walks into Dr. Cary’s dentist office and needs his teeth worked on: his vampire teeth. Cary initially thinks Pierce is just one over-eager Twilight fan, but quickly discovers his new patient is in actuality a vampire who needs his canines pulled. Now with Pierce’s tooth problems solved, the two men give into their attraction.Sucks & Blows was full of quick banter and bad puns (Cary can’t seem to help himself), but what sold me on it was Pierce. He’s the perfect foil for Cary and their interactions were sweet and hot at the same time. While this story was only 19 pages long, I could easily see this turning into a longer book, as it had the potential to be funny and sexy at the same time – a great combination in my mind.So, if you like vampires, dentists and funny dialog that only Storm Grant can deliver, Sucks & Blows is definitely for you!Dark Divas Reviews less
