review 1: I was excited to read this, but it took me much longer than expected. It was good, but not great. The characters were fun and interesting, but I just couldn't get into it. The conflict was really good and well-done. The story-line was good too, but I just had a hard time. There were some slower parts, but mostly it moved quickly, and all together it was a great read. I don't know why it was so difficult for me to read this, but it was a good book, and it should be a quick read, obviously I am the exception. The characters have really interesting backstories, that was one of the things I really liked, it made them a little more mysterious and fun. The end I thought could be better, but it was still really good. Overall, great book. Though it took me much longer than it sho... moreuld have, I really enjoyed this!
review 2: -A story thrilling and sexy check-A smart heroine and a loveable hero check-Good banters between the two protagonist check-Guy helping the cop chosse a dress so she won't look like a cop check-Top Gun's reference check.I think I liked everything about this book. When the story begin, you know things happened before but the author give us enough information to understand the history between Liz and Patrick. It reminds me of the TV series Castle or of others books by the author Julie James but Mrs. Sey have her own "voice". She knows how to keep things interesting and she could have took this story and make it like all the others but there was something different about it. Instead of following the recipe by the books, she blend a personnal touch that makes it better.Liz was a really believable FBI agent. At first, it's hard to have a clear view of who she really is coz she's so dedicated to her work. But that makes it more beautiful to see how Patrick will made her remember she's a woman above all. Patrick could appear arrogant. But he's so determined to stay unattached from anybody (even his sister and her little baby girl, who's funny and so damn cute by the way)coz he's afraid his past will catch up with him and he don't want the bad guys to come after them. He's so male but without bragging about it, without the machismo. He's more like the classy guy with a lot of restraint and he wear it very well. What really astound me is how well he understand Liz. You can feel he really love her for who she is, that he admire the woman she is. But Liz was so determined to think less of Patrick that at first I was a little worried for the romance part. But it just go smootly, nothing is rush but it always stay pretty exciting at the same time. This book earned a place in my book shelf that's for sure. less

The hero, Patrick O'Connor stands out as the best part of this delightful story.

The premise of this book starts off well, but so far, it's a little wordy.

Main character reminded me of lead in the TV show "White Collar".

Not bad for a debut book. Interesting characters.
