review 1: My biggest problem with this book is that the "interesting things about human behavior" tend to act as excuses for unethical or sinful human behavior, or behavior that is acceptable in a worldview entirely different from my one. One example is that Davis argues that human beings are inconsistent, and that being inconsistent is okay. Though humans are inconsistent in belief and worldview, the goal should be to become consistent, not excuse inconsistency as an "interesting thing about human behavior." The book is extremely short, and though I disagreed with many of the applications in the book, I did find the book interesting and insightful.
review 2: I picked this up as a free book from iTunes; if it's still available don't waste your money. The word "interestin
... moreg" in the title is rather misleading, since everything the author tells us about is likely to be known by anyone who knows more than 10 people and who has spent a little time thinking about things. The author's tone is rather condescending and the book reads like a blog (which made sense when the author mentioned her blog). Don't waste your time on this one. less
