review 1: I would recommend this book to anyone interested in psychology. Suzanne Phillips did an excellent job on educating readers about brain disorders. In this book in particular, Cameron - A freshman that is being bullied every day at his high school is eventually diagnosed with a stress disorder after a traumatic situation he finds himself in. Many events and life experiences have brought this disorder on Cameron. One of the biggest problems in the world is abuse. Verbal, physical, and sexual. I believe Phillips addressed all of those, and how they can seriously effect a person in their life. If you know someone who is being bullied or abused don't be afraid to seek help. It may be hard, but you are potentially stopping someone else from being abused and bullied. If you are in... more the other situation, and you are the one being bullied don't be afraid to talk to someone about it. You are not alone! I felt for the characters in this book. Maybe because I know how it is to be bullied, I've seen it happen, and I've also seen nobody do anything about it. I really enjoyed this book, and anyone who has a taste for suspense, pysch, learning, and hardships would enjoy this too.
review 2: This book was not what I thought it was going to be. When you first read about Cameron getting bullied at school and find out about his life it is depressing . So Cameron grew up with an abusive farther until his mother had enough and moved him and his family to a safer place. When Cameron gets into his new school he gets bullied there for being shy and antisocial. Then one day they took it to far with Cameron and that's when he found his love for fire. And later in the book you get to see him get revenge on the others less
